"Wikipedia, YouTube & Information Literacy" Workshop
Around 56 high school and community college librarians from the Los Angeles area attended the "Wikipedia, YouTube & Information Literacy" workshop I presented, on Friday, September 19th. I've just posted my slideshow and outline (with urls) on Slideshare.net. It was great fun, and we all learned from each other. After the workshop, about a dozen of us had a LILi (Lifelong Information Literacy group) lunch meeting. We discussed and agreed to continue to pursue grant funding for the IL survey we would like to conduct of Los Angeles County libraries. A librarian from a public high school in Long Beach offered to host a future meeting. Fuller notes are forthcoming.
