Feedback by 12/18/09: Draft Model School Library Standards (California)

This request for feedback was forwarded from the SCIL (Southern California Instruction Librarians) list. It seems that the new title for Library Media Teachers (LMTs) is "Teacher Librarians." Page 35 of this document describes the qualifications required for this position as "both a classroom teaching credential and a teacher librarian credential." After reviewing the draft, use this feedback form by 12/18/09.

• Model School Library Program Standards that describe the staffing, collections and resources, including technology, expected in an effective school library that will enable students to achieve the School Library Standards for Students.

The field review period will continue through Friday, December 18, 2009. Your comments and suggestions for improvement are welcome. A form is available on the Web page and comments may be submitted via email (, fax (916-319-0172) or mail.
